Hartford Hospital has a unique opportunity for a Nurse Manager for our 26- bed Medical Cardiology Telemetry Unit including 16 Bed Angioplasty Recovery Suite, and Chest Pain Center patient population.
Supported by the resources of an 860-bed, academic teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Connecticut, the Nurse Manager will promote professional growth and development of staff, assuring evidence based practice. Will provide leadership for all daily operations of unit and to the service and demonstrate progressive leadership.Accountable to the Nurse Director, of Cardiovascular Services, the Nurse Manager will have the major responsibility of ensuring that initiatives for this service line are implemented at the point of service. S/he will use experience and skills in the following functions to achieve the strategic imperatives: operational performance, quality and service excellence, problem solving, coaching, mentoring, and budgeting. The incumbent will possess the following academic/experiential credentials: BSN required, Masters Degree preferred (previous leadership experience preferred, Minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience with a strong track record of partnering effectively with physicians, administrators and other leaders to achieve results.
