Nurse Manager - GI Lab(Job Number: 9724-31) Missouri-Lees Summit-Lees Summit Medical CenterSchedule: Full-time Description Exciting opportunity to join a growing team. This newly created position will oversee the day to day operations of our GI Lab. The Nurse Manager will perform administrative tasks, patient related tasks and supervise the GI department, staff and programs. Collaborates with physicians and other deparmtents to coordinate the needs of patients and their families. Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner. Supports the mission and vision of the facility, division and company. Assures quality care through the initiation and evaluation of patient care utilizing perfomance improvement processes. Supports and adheres to HCA Code of Conduct, related Ethics and Compliance policies and HIPAA requirements. Qualifications Minimum Requirements:Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree. Licensure/Certifications: Must hold a current license from the Missouri Board of Nursing. BLS upon hire and ACLS within 6 months of hire. Certification in area of specialty preferred. Experience: 5 years current clinical nursing experience required in related field. One year of supervisory/management experience required. Knowledge in ERCP required. 2 years previous experience with GI procedures required. Prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided is preferred. Must have excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organization and leadership skills required. Basic computer knowledge required. Must be able to demonstrate leadership ability with the skill to educate others. Requirement: On Call Required and must have the ability to report to LSMC within 30 minutes of call back.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 244 operated bed, acute care hospital located in the heart of Johnson County. The Director of Cardiovascular Services/Cath Lab facilitates the integration and teamwork of all related departments for optimal care of patients.The Director works in conjunction with the facility administrative staff and the Cardiovascular Services Medical Director to ensure the highest level of care for patients, and ensures that all services provided meet all regulatory requirements and guidelines.The Director works with physicians to adopt and incorporate quality initiatives, understand economic considerations, and increase physician/hospital alignment.The Director is responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize the effectiveness of Cardiovascular services at the facility. This includes budget planning and management (capital and operational). The Director is responsible for ensuring that Cardiovascular Services are performing in conjunction with the mission and values of the facility and of HCA, including participation in goals and processes derived form HCA-CCMN initiatives.All patient populations are served, from Neonate/Infant to Adult/Geriatric. Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. BSN required. Masters preferred (MSN,MBAor MHA)Licensure/Certifications: Current Kansas RN licensure required. Certification in area of specialty preferred. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required. Ability to achieve and then maintain ACLS certification is required.Experience: Minimum of 5 (prefer 10) years in Cardiovascular Services,which includes Cath Lab experience, with at least half of those years in Cardiovascular leadership.

The House Supervisor prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care provided throughout the hospital.The tasks and responsibilities include: Supervises and directs the provision of all aspects of patient care. Manages the resolution of issues that arise during the course of the shift .Executes decisions in the absence of the Hospital Administrator. Determines need to contact Administrator on Call. Evaluates issues and identifies trends. Communicates trends to hospital leadership and collaborates on problem solving to address trended issues. Serves as the leader of the hospital safety plan in the absence of hospital administrators and other leaders. Includes coordinating the response to reported incidents including employee injuries. Monitors and evaluates clinical standards within the Hospital.Ensures that age and culturally appropriate care is given. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures. Qualifications: Required Job Qualifications include: Current Kansas licensure as an RN. Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Management preferred. Current BLS and ACLS Certification. (American Heart Association) Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience. 1 year Charge Nurse experience preferred. Basic knowledge of main functional areas within the Hospital. Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, strong communication skills and leadership abilities. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
