Description: Provides overall clinical and operational management in collaboration with the Director of the Emergency Department. Operational management responsibilities would include but not limited to program wide operations during 24 hour/7 day period. Develop master scheduling patterns, call schedules and peak plans. Reviews researches and analyzes parent surveys and creates plans to address satisfaction scores. Responsibility for recruitment and retention of staff members for the Emergency Department. Approves performance recommendations for staff/team members and the development of Team Leaders. This position primarily works 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with the expectation that they will cover an evening shift one week per month. This may include one to four days for the hours between 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. Requirements: Associates Degree in Nursing is required. Bachelor´s degree is strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in relevant clinical setting. Experience in a Pediatric, Level 1 Trauma center is preferred. Current Texas RN license or valid Compact license is required. Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS certification is required.

Nurses live on-board the ship for assignments of 14 weeks with vacations of about 7 weeks at at time.
