Kaiser Permanente is an AA/EEO employer.DEPARTMENT: Interventional ServicesSCHEDULE: Full-time, regular; 40hrs/week; SHIFT: Day; Sunday through Saturday 7:30am to 6:00pmEDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited NP program & Surgical Residency program, California RNP License, Board Certified, DEA License, BCLS & ACLS certificationQUALIFICATIONS: CV, Surgical/Interventional Case Log, and (2) professional references submitted with application. Minimum (1) year within the past (1.5) years of complex coronary and vascular interventions including minimally invasive surgical approach & experience in both the in-patient and out-patient settings with demonstrated knowledge & competence to: Function as 1st assist in the Interventional Suites Conduct daily rounds & document patient care orders (ICU & Floor) Perform evaluative consults with physicians & other health care providers Read & evaluate laboratory reports & imaging studies Manage interventional/procedural problems within scope of practice Perform therapeutic procedures as outlined in the Delineation of Privileges Ability to make independent decisions following California Laws & Regulations Highest level of customer focused service with patients, members, physicians, and staff Effective verbal and written communication skills Excellent attendance & ´Meets/Exceeds´ standards on Performance Appraisal done within the past year Completion of employee health requirements Ability to support Cardiac Interventional 1st call schedules in the greater Sacramento area -including after hours and weekends. Due to operational needs, may be required to have varied start times and work at multiple facilities in the Sacramento area. Qualified Nurse Practitioners (NPs) will be given hiring preference over qualified Physician Assistants (PAs). NPs who do not meet the minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply, and their applications will be reviewed on a case by case basis.REQUIRED SKILLS TESTING: N/ADUTIES: Under the direction of the Chief of Surgery and the Department Manger or designee, qualified applicants will be expected to evaluate, coordinate, provide, and facilitate care for adult and pediatric patients as an extension of the staff surgeons. Specific responsibilities to be fulfilled are outlined in the Job Description and Delineation of Privileges documents.

DEPARTMENT: Cardiac Cath LabSCHEDULE: Part-Time Regular, 30 hours per week, Day shift; Week 1: Monday, Wednesday - 0630 to 1900 & Thursday - 0800 to 2030EDUCATION: Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Post BSN Program. MS Required. NPI Required. Acute Care NP Degree Preferred.LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Current CPR Healthcare Provider course completion. Current ACLS preferred. Current California Furnishing Number or obtains within 6 months of date of hire. National Certification Required. Current California Nurse Practitioner LicensePosition Summary:The Nurse practitioner, functioning in accordance with the State of California Nurse Practice Act and department standardized procedures and protocols, is responsible for providing comprehensive patient preoperative and pre-catheterization evaluation, managing patient´s post-procedure for cardiac catheterization and cardiothoracic surgery patient populations, coordinating post-discharge patient care for cardiac catheterization and cardiothoracic surgery patient populations and providing patient education programs, in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team. The Nurse Practitioner also provides cardiac outpatient services were applicable. The Nurse Practitioner is directly accountable to the Cardiothoracic Surgery Division Chief, the Cardiology Division Chief, the Cardiac Cath Lab Medical Director and the Nurse Practitioner Team Nurse Manager.QUALIFICATIONS:1. Demonstrated ability to assess Health status and develop a plan of a care; ensuring appropriate follow-up in accordance with established approved Nurse Practitioner protocols.2. Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with patients, staff, and physicians.3. Excellent work history.4. Demonstrated history of excellent attendance.5. Minimum of one year´s experience as a Cardiac Surgery and or Cardiology Nurse Practitioner preferred.6. Recent Critical Care Nursing experience required.7. In all interactions with patient, members, physicians, staff and visitors, demonstrates service-oriented behaviors that include culturally sensitive good manners, respect, and polite communications. Demonstrates openness to creative and innovative approaches to providing service.8. Schedule: alternative workweek 12 hours shifts.
