Under the general supervision of the Manager of Health Plans coordinates the pre-authorization, concurrent review, case management process of the Health Plan members. Also coordinates and participates in orientations for new students and employees. Researches, develops and implements criteria for Health Plan guidelines. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications: -Minimum of Associates Degree (2 years) in Nursing. -Minimum of three to five years nursing experience, preferable with broad spectrum of both hospital nursing as well as other areas of nursing (ie: home health, discharge planning, etc.) -At least 1 year of hospital utilization review.-Must be able to type 30-40 wpm with accuracy, operate 10-key calculator and be proficient in basic computer functions. -Ability to analyze and interpret data; judge and act on analysis of data; apply mathematics to manipulate/analyze data; analyze and solve specific problems; follow simple/moderate/complex instructions; work independently without direct supervision; and have the ability to focus concurrently on different job duties with numerous interruptions.
