Department: Emergency Department Schedule: Full-time/part-time Shift: Day/evening or evening/night shift Hours: 8 and 12 hours shiftsJob Details: Mass RN license required Must be registered POSITION SUMMARY: The Emergency Department Staff RN under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and Director performs/supervises services in a designated area according to the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and hospital. Works cooperatively within department and other services to create a system of quality health care. POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES: The Emergency Department Staff RN is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment for all patients in any age group that present to the Emergency Department. The RN will be educated in all areas of the ED, Triage, Cardiac, Trauma, Medical, admission holds and Fast Track. They promote philosophy, mission and values of LGH. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, she/he provides effective communication and collaborates with coworkers, physicians and other departments and outside agencies.
