Description Delivers professional nursing care to patient populations in the Heart and Vascular Center which include but are not limited to general cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, stroke and other complex disease states with cardiac and vascular co-morbitities. Performs assessments, follows standards of care and disease specific protocols utilizing the Nursing Process in delivery of care. Maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. Responsible for delivery of professional nursing care for assigned patients, performs nursing assessments / care plan implementation / implementation of treatment / evaluation of treatment / and discharge planning. Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members and ancillary services. Responsible for delegation within scope of practice to provide safe and effective care to patient population. Integrates behavior standards and AIDET fundamentals of service into all work activities. Qualifications Required Job Qualifications include:Current licensure as an RN.Basic Dysrthymia within 90 days.Current certification as a CPR Healthcare Provider.ACLS certification withon one year of hire and maintained thereafter.Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
