The Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Services provide person centered mental health services to those between the ages of 6 and 18 who have a serious emotional disturbance and whose needs exceed the resource capacities of their families and local communities. It also provides mental health services to clients age 18 to 21 who continue to require treatment. Children and adolescents from throughout the state are referred by county social services, corrections, private hospitals, parents, treatment facilities, schools, and third party payers. Provide leadership to the multidisciplinary treatment team and foster a continuous learning environment. Maintain necessary credentials through timely continuing education. Qualifications:Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota is mandatory. This position requires a masters degree from an accredited School of Nursing with ANCC certification as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Family Nurse Practitioner, along with current authorization from the MN Board of Nursing to prescribe drugs and therapeutic devices. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to establishing rapport with clients and families, while working in collaboration with staff and other health professionals.
