The North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting Nurse Practitioners. These positions will provide care and services for individuals at Cherry Hospital, which is located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. We are eagerly anticipating the completion of our new state-of-the-art facility which is slated to open in 2011. As a Nurse Practitioner, youll serve as a vital member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and work closely with the physicians, pharmacists, professional support staff, and direct care staff at the hospital. This includes responsibility for performing history and physicals of patients on admission, annual physicals, dictate discharge summaries, sick-call, prescribe medications and order lab work. Our 24 hour inpatient facility serves adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. This is an exciting time to join our professional team as we expand to provide the best quality inpatient psychiatric services for the citizens of eastern North Carolina. Requires Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Board of Nursing, graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the N. C. Joint Subcommittee of the Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners, and Approved to Practice Medical Acts based on education and experience by the Joint Subcommittee, and preferably one year of experience as an Extender.
