Oakton faculty members are expected to engage in professional development activities, and institutional and departmental service. Prior undergraduate teaching experience is preferred.Located seventeen miles from downtown Chicago, Oakton serves northern Cook County with campuses in Des Plaines and Skokie.Qualifications: A master“s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of two years of full time pediatrics or maternal newborn clinical experience are required. Teaching in pediatrics or maternal newborn nursing with medical surgical experience is preferred. Primary teaching responsibility: didactic and clinical sections in an Associate Degree Nursing program.The hiring range is from $41,785-$62,057 for a 9 month contract. Additional salary can be earned through overloads and summer assignments.
