Assist the patient with hygiene, mobility and nutritional needs. Provide routine treatments and maintain a safe and clean environment. Transport and discharge patients. Demonstrate competency in advanced unit specific tasks and skills as defined by unit specific competency list. Document according to unit specific policies and guidelines. Communicate appropriate information regarding the patients condition to the RN and other members of the healthcare team. The Advanced Clinical Technician must be able to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, and be able to maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent and have successful completion of a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Assistant Program and/or 2 years of recent nursing assistant experience, be a graduated nursing student who completed all course work and did not pass state board exam, OR be a nursing student who has completed one semester of clinical rotation, Medical Corpsman, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic or medical personnel licensed outside the United States. Maintaining current BLS certification and 1 year of recent experience in a relevant healthcare setting required.
