Overlake Hospital is looking for full time ARNPs to work days in our Bellevue and Issaquah Campus Anti-Coagulation Outpatient Centers.Most recently (4/7/2009) and for the second year in a row, Overlake Hospital has been recognized as one of the recipients of the 2009 HealthGrades Patient Safety Excellence Award. Our Bellevue and Issaquah Anti-Coagulation Outpatient Centers are fast paced and fun with each provider seeing anywhere from 25 - 30 patients a day. The team is made up of 4 - 5 providers that include Nurse Practioner, Pharmacist, pharmacy techs and phlebotomists. The ARNP assesses and manages patients care, concerns, issues and includes: -Assesses, evaluates, and educates patients new to warfarin therapy. -Monitors responses to treatment plans and changes in health status. -Links patients with available resources to assist in decreasing rate of complications. -Evaluates current medications/prescriptions and their efficacy, adjusting as needed. -Educates staff on clinical issues affecting patient care. Electronic documentation on a customized Meditech Pharmacy Module.Position requires:-Masters degree in nursing from a nurse practitioner training pathway -Current WA State registered nursing license (upon hire)ACLS certification -Certification credential granted by a national certifying body in an approved ARNP specialty. 2+ years community experience, preferably in an anticoagulation, cardiac and/or geriatrics.Living in the Northwest Overlake employees have the opportunity to live and work in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
