It is the only facility in South Carolinaand one of 70 in the entire countryto receive this status.Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for the provision and evaluation of patient care delivered in a nursing unit.Key Responsibilities: Implements and monitors staffing plans; schedules employees and assigns work. Continuously assesses and documents staff performance. Implements and maintains standards/rules/procedures in compliance with regulatory/hospital requirements. Participates with development/implementation/evaluation of unit and department PI programs. Assists with planning and managing the unit budget and resources to meet financial targets. Implements and monitors processes to reduce and control environmental hazards and risks; preventing accidents and injuries and maintaining safe conditions for patients, staff and visitors.Requirements:Education: graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferredExperience: 24 months RN experience with at least 12 months in practice area, or equivalent experience; has practiced nursing in the last 3 years; charge nurse experienceLicensure, Registry or Certification Required: RN currently licensed in South CarolinaSpecial Training: must possess knowledge and skills necessary to treat patients; other training as required by department; effective communication and conflict resolution skillsAt Palmetto Health we believe everyone should love the job theyre in.
