The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of an 18-month, evening and weekend Practical Nursing Program for Penn State Hazleton.
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of an 18-month, evening and weekend Practical Nursing Program for Penn State Hazleton. Develop instructional materials and direct the educational planning activities. Develop and coordinate the schedule of instructional plan including clinical experiences. Responsible for recruiting and retaining students, admissions, and maintaining student records. Responsible for program oversight including hiring instructors. Maintain appropriate student/faculty ratio. Serve as liaison with clinical sites, community, faculty, students and administration. Direct student counseling and support services. Prepare and monitor program budget. Maintain communication with State Board of Nursing. Negotiate and manage all curricular processes (course and faculty approvals). Conduct program, student, faculty, and staff evaluations. Requires Masters degree in nursing or equivalent, plus three years of work-related experience in the area of nursing, nursing education and educational administration. Requires current Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania.
