2 Permanent Full Time Clinical Nurse EducatorsRestorative & Continuing CareThe Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) integrates knowledge and skill reflective of the RQHR Health Services models of care and principles of adult learning, in the provision of education, research, and quality client centered care for a defined group of clients and programs. The incumbent will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of client centered care through identified education programming. In collaboration with the Director, management staff and consultants for Restorative and Continuing Care and administrative staff in Long Term Care facilities, the CNE is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating education activities/programs. The CNE will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to Care Staff and other Support Staff. Positions will have specific responsibilities related to specialized client needs and clinical knowledge within Long Term Care facilities, community hospitals and integrated facilities in the RQHR. Graduate of an approved Nursing Program. Requires, or is in progress towards a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or comparable degree in education/adult learning. Requires a minimum of three (3) years experience related to the clinical area (long term care, acute care). Requires experience in a) program/resource development related to needs assessment, program design, implementation and evaluation; and b) teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities. Requires current registration with the SRNA or RPNAS. Requires certification for life support. Basic computer skills. Position includes travel to sites in Regina and in rural RQHR. Field hours.
