SMCW ICU Responsibilities 1. Implements and documents the Nursing Process for population specific, complex patient/family care delivery. Meets competencies of RN-M; Provides oversight to more novice nurses on complex and unstable patients assigned to PCT team. 2. Develops and implements performance improvement activities in response to identified needs and goals of the department. 3. Functions as a clinical resource and functions as a leader. Has met competencies for RN-M role within PCT CareModel and functions in role when assigned. 4. Demonstrates professional growth and development by expanding their knowledge base, implementing staff and patient focused programs/projects to meet identified needs/goals. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required. Temporary license or permanent license to practice professional nursing (RN) in the State of Texas is required. Annually acquires thirty (30) contact hours of education, twenty (20) of which is nursing related OR has an acceptable (for the Specialty) National Certification is required. Skills Validation of achievement of Level Three performance competencies and requirements is required.
