Responsibilities For a designated nursing specialty and/or to meet the nursing education and professional development needs of nurses throughout the network, the Network Nursing Education Coordinator: 1. Coordinates and participates in both the process of assessing learning needs and in designing the education/training plan and learning support to meet the identified needs. 2. Collaborates in the design of the Network Education/Training System. 3. Coordinates and participates in the implementation of the designed Education/Training. 4. Coordinates and participates in the design and implementation of a plan to measure and improve the performance of the Education System and its outcomes. 5. Coordinates the collaboration to align the Education/Training System with other appropriate systems and processes within Seton. 6. Coordinates and collaborates in appropriate liaison activities with persons and organizations within the community Seton serves. 7. Provides Education/Training to staff who have a role within the Seton Education/Training System. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Nursing or Education is preferred. Seven (7) years of related experience to include a minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership experience or nursing educator experience is required. Related college coursework may substitute for up to (4) years of required experience on an equivalent year-for-year basis. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas is required. Skills Requires strong MS Office skills and in designing and delivering presentations. Possesses effective interpersonal skills such as communication, collaboration, and facilitation while working with diverse individuals, positions, and groups. Demonstrates ability to assume all education/training roles within all the processes of the education/training system from assessment of need to certification of competence and measurement and improvement of the system.
