The hospital is part of Catholic Healthcare West, which has more than 40 hospitals in Arizona, California and Nevada.FULL-TIME POSITION / 80 HOURS PER PAY PERIODSt. Josephs Hospital is looking for Nurse Education Specialists to work with departments to determine education support needs. Qualified candidates will be responsible for competency assessment and education for new and experienced staff as well as providing curriculum development, research and publication assistance. For over two decades, St. Josephs has been committed to maintaining a leadership role in advancing excellence in adult critical care medicine throughout Arizona. That commitment is demonstrated by providing the resources necessary to maintain national recognition by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Committee on Trauma. St. Josephs is the only ACS Level I Trauma Center in the state of Arizona and has 6 specialized adult intensive care units. These units provide exceptional patient care in the areas of Trauma ICU, Surgical ICU, and Medical ICU. For Arizonans, this means access to treatment of the highest standard. For our staff, it means the opportunity to build careers working with the best of the best while experiencing 1:2 or 1:1 nurse to patient ratios in a dedicated unit, the opportunity for flexible scheduling and cross-training.REQUIREMENTS:Educational Requirements: - Undergraduate (BA/BS) required. - Masters degree and certification in area of specialty preferred.
