The employee health center is currently open the following hours: Monday-Friday 8:30a-5pThis position will be working alongside our Nurse Practitioner. Responsibilities: - Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards of practice and established scopes of practice for licensed practical nurses- Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids the physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients- Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Administers prescribed medications as directed and in accordance with the established scope of practice- Oversees appointment bookings and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintains timely flow of patients- Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests - Arranges for patient testing and admissions- Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions- Formulates and updates patient care plans. Orders, prepares, and inspects patients charts. Posts tests and examination results- Responsible for preparation of exam rooms including re-stocking of treatment areas- Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations- Maintains patient confidentiality.Requirements: Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursingOne year experience in a clinical environment; prefer occupational health and/or ER experienceValid KY state license to practice practical nursingCurrent CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross We offer competitive wages and benefit options.Take Care Health Systems is proud to be an equal opportunity employer of nice people!
