Advises Director on a regular basis of all activities, occurrences, situations and problems as they affect the general operation of the department. Collaborates with case managers,physicians, and other healthcare professionals to reduce/avoid high length of stays, avoidable hospital days, and delay of service issues. Acts as a mentor and educational resource for department staff. Ensures clinical staff are cross trained to perform bed management/bed control, case management (CM), utilization Review (UR). Three (3) years or more of hospital fiscal management, utilization management, case management, and discharge planning experience, preferably in an acute care environment. Minimum of three (3) years direct patient care experience in an acute care setting. Critical Care experience desirable.Bachelors degree in nursing preferred.Case Management and Utilization Management experience required.Current CA RN license & BLS.
