Department: ICU RSU Schedule: Part-time w/ Benefits Shift: Days Hours: 36 hrs/wk. Every other weekend/holidays. Job Details: As a core member of the care delivery team, the Clinical Nurse practices as a primary and/or associate nurse and collaborates with the team to facilitate the coordination of patient care at the unit level. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.Clinical Nurse is the basic level for new graduates and all registered nurses who do not choose to participate in the Recognition and Clinical Advancement Program (RCAP). Provides nursing care to an individual or group of patients; recognizes changes in patients condition and reports such changes to Physician and/or Nurse Manager/designee. Utilizes and manages material resources in a cost-effective manner. Plans, develops and implements patient care plans; evaluates the effectiveness of existing patient care; evaluates the effectiveness of existing patient care plan and modifies plan of care to meet patient needs. Requires prolonged standing; walking; use of sight, hearing, and touch; moving/lifting patients of varying weights. 1-2 years ICU experience required.
