Clinical Practice Consultant
DEPARTMENT: Regional Accreditation, Regulation and LicensingSCHEDULE: Full-time Regular; 40 hours per week; Day Shift; Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pmPosition Summary: As a recognized content expert for technical areas, responsible for the delivery of consultingservices in areas of key organizational importance. Provides nursing leadership for the delivery ofhigh quality and cost-effective consulting services/products that are issues of key organizationalimportance. Partners with Medical Center leadership teams and departments to support effectivenessof local programs in order for leadership to meet key organizational initiatives. Supportsleadership in attaining organizational goals.Education/License/Certification: BSN or BA in health related field required; Master´s degree preferred. Current California nursinglicense required.Qualifications: Typically six or more years of experience in a management or clinical leadership role required. Demonstrated ability to determine the key business issues and develop appropriate action plans frommultidisciplinary perspectives. Demonstrated subject matter expertise in health care operations andcare delivery. Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities and managing a wide range ofprojects. Demonstrated ability to lead professionals and manage others through influence andcollaboration. Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative informationwith analytical problem solving and project management. Proven leadership skills in consulting. Mustexhibit efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness, and results orientation. Must demonstrate anunderstanding of the operations of KP, health policy trends, and any applicable regulations relatedto the responsible technical area. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.Preferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of healthcare regulations and accrediting standards including California Code ofRegulations Title 22, CA health and Safety Code, CMS Conditions of Participation and JointCommission standards.Duties: Provides leadership and expert consultation on the design, development, and implementation ofprograms related to the expertise area. Leads a group of consultants, analysts and/or staff focusedon the delivery of service/products within the responsible technical area(s). Provides leadershipand direction for the technical area(s) in accordance with the overall strategic direction of thegroup. Serves as the content expert of the responsible technical area(s) and provides technicalassistance and advice. Develops standards, procedures, and policies to ensure that the responsibleunit is maintained according to the acceptable level of quality from clients. Ensures that reportsand information disseminated from the area(s) are accurate, timely and consistent, and that theysatisfy the clients´ needs.Other Duties: Conducts regulatory research, provides regulatory consultation, support local AR&L teams in facilitylicensing and reglatory activities, participates in continuous performance assessments. Supports thegoals,objectives and activities of Regional Quality and Regulatory Services.Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis.
