Seeking Cardiology Nurse Practitioner in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia
The Practice Exciting opportunity to join an established and collegial group of 6 Cardiologists and 2 Physician Assistants expanding the practice in collaboration with the heart and vascular department at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. You will be busy from day one as demand for cardiology services is growing rapidly offering local patients the opportunity to receive advanced heart care in their home community. Duties will include a rotation between the hospital and office, as well as supporting a growing inpatient stress test laboratory. Daily responsibilities include: Admissions, discharges and hospital rounds Inpatient and outpatient consults Troubleshooting pacemakers and ICDs Chemical and exercise stress testing in the nuclear and echo labs Review telemetry strips, EKGs and 2D echos Active participation in the Heart Failure clinic Limited call, every 5th weekend coverage This position requires the ability to work independently, while fully complying with supervisory legal requirements mandated by state and federal government. Graduation from an accredited PA program is required along with board certification. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years Cardiology experience. Experience in a critical care setting also preferred, but not required. The group is prepared to offer a competitive starting salary, commensurate with experience, and benefits package.
