The New Mexico Heart Institute is interested in a full time, M-F day shift, Clinical Office Manager to join our Roswell team.

As the leader in Cardiovascular Care in the Southwest, our services include state-of-the-art heart and vascular medicine and surgery, cardiovascular imaging, and fully-integrated emergency hospital and intensive coronary care services.The Clinical Office Manager is responsible for overseeing office operations, including the activities encompassed in the delivery of care and services provided to all NMHI patients, and efficient daily operation of each assigned functional area. Using discretion and independent judgment within scope of practice, the Clinical Office Manager leads team toward their primary objectives, and provides on-going improvement of departmental processes. Critical-Thinking Aptitude Has the ability to assess an issue from a variety of perspectives and perceptions, analyzes the issue for multiple options, reviews each option for weaknesses or challenges, implements solution, assesses for results.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Employee Relations and Supervision: - Supervise team members, motivate and sustain office morale- Work closely with the HR office to recruit, interview, and recommend applicants for hire;- Facilitate position specific training for each new hire and continue yearly training for current team members when appropriate. - Conduct team member coaching, mentoring, and performance improvement sessions.- Manage annual performance review with team members participation, and collaborate on individual development plan.- Be in compliance with all HR and payroll office protocol for proper documentation and process. - Maintain knowledge of and adherence to NMHI team member policies and procedures by attending HR Manager training. OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT:- Respect of patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance in all functions.- Responsible for and oversight of the delivery of care to all patients. - Communicates with Executive Management concerning new developments and pertinent issues. - Work with providers to obtain timely charge submission.- Research, implement, and improve processes reducing office expenses or risks.Clinical Role- Provides direct patient care under direction of physician.- Act as a liaison between provider and patients in office and by phone.- Develops patient education.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/ LICENSURE:- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferred- Current New Mexico RN license preferred- 3- 5 years of previous management experience preferred- Experience in a clinical setting requiredCOMPETENCIES:- Demonstrates an understanding of private physician owned practice.- Develops standards and goals that are responsible and aligned with NMHI business needs. - Pro- active coaching and support regarding personnel issues. - Formulates, supports, and executes strategic goals in a healthcare setting.- Understands and replicates the Gold Standard initiatives.- Production of significantly better quality, impact and cost control for patient care and practice products and services. - A leader in motivating, re-educating, and redirecting the workforce. - Responds swiftly and effectively to key issues related to team member management, expenses, and other trends; appropriately reports them to Executive Management.STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT WITH NMHI CORPORATE MISSION AND STRATEGIES:- Research and provide statistical data to the CEO and the Board of Directors that could have an impact on the financial health of NMHI;- Creates positive relationships with referring providers in the community.SKILL REQUIREMENTS: - Computer proficiency with basic office programs such as Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.- Effective professional communication skills.- Exceptional patient care and customer service skills.- Ability to effectively problem solve, work independently, time manage, organize work, meet deadlines, and meet production goals. - Maturity, support and interaction with team members required.
