As a leader for this unit you will be responsible for nursing functions of the 15-bed short stay Geriatric Psych Unit and facilitate the continuity of care. Patients receive care and treatment for Alzheimer´s, depression and other conditions that are often part of the aging process. If you are a graduate from an accredited school of nursing with leadership experience in this field Artesia General could be your next opportunity. Ensures that the total needs of the patients/residents are met and shall keep the Administrator and Medical Director of the unit informed of the activities of the nursing service and of any problems relating to the care of the patients/residents. Level of knowledge equivalent to a baccalaureate Degree in Nursing; Current licensure as a professional nurse in the State of Illinois; Geronotological nursing experience and education; Previous managerial experience; Working knowledge of public relations and personnel administration; Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement system.
