The Medical Center of Plano is looking for individuals who will help us fulfill our commitment to the care and improvement of human life by delivering high quality, cost effective healthcare to the communities we serve.The Medical Center of Plano is a Magnet designated hospital licensed for 427 beds. We are a Level III Trauma Center, and we are currently pursuing Level II designation. In addition to being a Primary Stroke Center, we recently became the first hospital in Collin County to receive the Cycle III accreditation from the Society for Chest Pain Centers. The Medical/Surgical Service Line consists of the IV team and 3 units: a 38-bed Med/Surg Oncology unit, a 38-bed Ortho/Trauma unit and a 24-bed Inpatient Rehab unit. This service line has approximately 110 FTEs consisting of 3 Nurse Managers, unit-based Assistant Nurse Managers and Nurse Clinicians, Registered Nurses, LVNs, Patient Care Technicians and Unit Clerks. The Director of Medical/Surgical Services is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing all functions of the designated units in order to support the stated mission, vision and values of The Medical Center of Plano and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing and promote, advocate and support the nursing staffs primary commitment to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family or community.
