Team Building experience preferred.JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting to ensure patient focused, quality, effective, efficient, nursing care and service behaviors of staff supporting the practices of physicians and other medical providers; assists the Manager in supervising and coordinating the activities of personnel. Partners with the physician leaders in creating a culture of commitment to patient focused service, excellent support of physician practices, innovation, compliance, ethics and integrity. Assists with and/or manages staff, projects, budgets, and other related leadership activities. Performs all responsibilities of a Registered Nurse as required. Accountable for creating a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity. Maintains knowledge of and assures departmental compliance with Kaiser Permanente´s Principles of Responsibility and policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. Responds appropriately to observed fraud or abuse.POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado. Must be a graduate of a RN program that meets Colorado State Board of Nursing curriculum requirements. Certification may be required. BLS strongly preferred. Bachelor´s degree preferred. One year of leadership experience preferred.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs the responsibilities of a Registered Nurse, as needed. Supervises, leads, role models and coordinates the activities of personnel engaged in providing excellent patient focused care and supporting physician practices through the provision of integrated, effective and innovative nursing practices and related medical services. Demonstrates and promotes exemplary service orientation to patients, members, providers, and staff. Participates in interviewing and selection of assigned personnel; oversees training of personnel and ensures orientation to policies, procedures and expectations. Ensures that the training activities incorporate all applicable KP policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations, and accreditation standards. Manages staff, provides direction to team members, and evaluates personnel performance. This includes motivating, coaching and counseling on immediate performance issues and recommending appropriate action, disciplining and terminating in compliance with EEO/AA goals and personnel policies of the organization. Participates in issue/conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and the discipline process. Ensures appropriate staffing schedules are achieved. Submits payroll. Assesses and develops recommendations for new or revised general or nursing policies, procedures, and guidelines. Maintain current information and knowledge of all applicable Kaiser policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations, and accreditation standards. Position requires working with interruptions; with hazardous waste; with hands in water; and around moving equipment such as wheelchairs. May be required to lift patients using proper lifting techniques.
