This is a key position within our Clinical Effectiveness department. Clinical Effectiveness is responsible for the planning, leadership and strategic direction of systemwide clinical quality improvement programs for the Sharp hospitals, including: clinical outcomes improvement, patient safety, clinical decision support, Lean Six Sigma, continuing medical education, the cardiac service line, the oncology service line, the orthopedic/neuroscience service line, the senior service line, the central pharmacy service line, infection control and the Institutional Review Board.Summary Plans, directs and coordinates the development and implementation of cardiac programs consistent with the mission and vision of Sharp HealthCare. Responsible for the strategic planning, business development and growth, and quality improvement plans for cardiac care including cardiology, cardiac surgery, transplant, mechanical assist devices and cardiac rehab across the system. The successful candidate will develop collaborative relationships with medical directors, medical groups, the community, and professional organizations to ensure a continuum of care focus and to enhance the growth of the cardiac program as well as the image of Sharp HealthCare. Other responsibilities include working with other directors, cardiac program managers and departments to ensure continued entity and system collaboration and support. This position is accountable for facilitating strategic planning for the system regarding market, capital, and operational activities to drive cardiac quality results and program growth. Another key duty is to coordinate and maintain the ongoing development of quality of care within the entity cardiac programs. Qualifications: - Masters in Nursing and/or Healthcare Administration - Three to five years progressive management, program and business development experience - Three to five years of experience in cardiovascular care or relevant area of responsibility - Demonstrated ability to facilitate and/or lead large, diverse, multidisciplinary teams; history of successful change implementation, demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact productively with varying levels of personnel and staff.SHARP HEALTHCAREAt Sharp HealthCare, we have an exciting initiative focused on our organizations culture that involves enhancing the way we interact with and serve our patients and their families, our colleagues and our physicians.
