To assist us in our efforts, we seek a self-directed:Bariatric Program DirectorIn this highly visible role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our surgical weight loss program and will assist in coordination of care for weight loss surgery patients throughout the hospital. Responsibilities will include managing prescreening and patient education; collaborating with physicians and other team members during pre- and post-operative care; and communicating the surgery schedule with Admissions, Radiology, PACU, Bariatric Unit and Ambulatory Surgery.The successful candidate will also collaborate with hospital administration and the Bariatric Medical Director to reinforce program requirements, budgets and patient criteria.Qualifications:• A license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Districtof Columbia• A minimum of three years of experience• Preferably, a Bachelor´s degree in Nursing• Practical knowledge of computers and computer systems• Preferably, an advanced degree and experience in Bariatrics• Ideally, experience working in a medical clinic setting and knowledge of medical terminology and ICD and CPT coding• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solvingand financial management skills
