Clinical Trials ManagerThe Methodist Hospital Research InstituteThe Clinical Trials Manager is responsible for management of research activities of a clinical research program. Directly supervises research staff to ensure effective planning, oversight, and coordination of clinical research projects. Monitors progress and performance of all projects to include quality of services, timelines, compliance with federal, state and/or other regulations, laws and guidelines of The Methodist Hospital Research Institute. The position also provides guidance ott he research program on relevant clinical trial issues and developments.Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in natural sciences or relevant field, Pharm.D., Certified Clinical Research Coordinator certification (CCRC), and either five years relevant research program experience or could have less years experience as long as they have a residency or fellowship with transplant or research.The Transplant department performs 120-150 kidney transplants a year, 100 liver transplants a year, and is the #1 lung program. There are approximately 75 employees in the department. The Department of Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, DeBakey Heart & Lung all are part of the Methodist Transplant Center of Excellence. The Methodist Hospital Research Institute (TMHRI) is a cornerstone in The Methodist Hospitals strategy for continued development as an academic medical center. TMHRI oversees all clinical trials at The Methodist Hospital with 700 clinical trials currently underway and 1,700 credentialed research team members, including more than 400 principal investigators. The Research Institute is affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College and the University of Houston.
