North Star Hospital
Directs the daily operations and provides direct pharmaceutical care functions of North Star Behavioral Health Systems. This includes the interpretation evaluation and dispensing of medication orders, ordering and receiving of medications and supplies and all other functions necessary to serve the hospital and RTC facilities. The pharmacist supervises the pharmacy technicians and works with Pharmacy for supplies. Requirements Bachelors of Science Pharmacy degree from a accredited College of Pharmacy; residence program desirable. Provides Hospital/ multiple facilities is preferred. Previous participation in a pharmacy and therapeutics committee is preferred. Must be Alaska State Board of Pharmacy licensed or eligible to sit board. Membership and active in the state and national society of hospital pharmacy is encouraged. Ability to direct a 24 hour multi-facility system’s pharmaceutical department and provide direct services as needed. Able to supervise pharmacy technicians. Must have Alaska license.
