Concorde Career Colleges, Inc. is a nationally recognized for-profit, post-secondary education company providing career training in the field of allied health, and we have an opening for a part-time Pharmacy Technician Instructor.Responsibilities include:- Provide instruction to Pharmacy Technician classes.- Adherence to applicable accreditation commission standards or agencies regulations, the school policies and procedures, and the departments curricula.- Monitor school progress, conduct student orientations and advise students throughout the program.- Assist with on-going review and development of curricula in the department and make suggestions per policy. - Attend orientations, staff meetings, and faculty meetings as scheduled. Requirements:-Must have 3 years Pharmacy Technician experience. -Must have Florida RPT State License. -National PTCB Certification. -Must have hospital experience with IV and compounding experience. Lake Wales Medical Center

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist(s), the pharmacy technician assists in all pharmacy operations´ functions related to: (1) preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; (2) maintenance of drug inventories (e.g., re-stocking automated dispensing cabinets throughout the hospital, drug packaging/re-packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock, etc); and, (3) completion of patients´ records pertaining to drug therapy (drug charges & credits etc) (4) employ specific aseptic technique skills in a laminar flow hood or safety cabinet preparing intravenous therapy under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.Qualifications Education:• High School Diploma required; college-level courses desirable but not required; successful completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program requiredLicenses / Certifications:• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) requiredExperience:• (Preferred) two or more years of experience in a hospital or health system. 2011 Specific State Board of Pharmacy Instruction completed OR 1500 hours under a supervised registered pharmacist.
