Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience CoordinatorDepartment of Pharmacy Practice and ScienceCollege of PharmacyUniversity of Kentucky The Department of Pharmacy Practice & Science in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Kentucky invites applications for an Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, coordination and assessment of the Colleges introductory pharmacy practice experiences (IPPEs). The IPPE coordinator will report to the Director of Professional Practice Programs and will coordinate all activities in the IPPE I and IPPE II courses offered as part of the Colleges Doctor of Pharmacy degree program. In this capacity the IPPE Coordinator will work with the Director to satisfy recently upgraded accreditation requirements for clinical education in the areas of preceptor training, teaching site development and quality assurance. Additional responsibilities may include didactic teaching, service to the Department and University, and scholarly activity. Applicants should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy; further consideration will be given to applicants with residency training, relevant academic and professional experience as a pharmacy practitioner, or with additional related professional education and training. The successful candidate will be appointed within the Department, with the type and rank of appointment determined by the qualifications of the individual.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy, with current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Kentucky. Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology and aseptic technique, resource utilization, clinical pharmacy. Ability to effectively supervise technical personnel. Capable of utilizing and adapting to technological innovations and electronic information systems. Must be able to hear and be understood on the telephone, as well as being able to communicate with staff and vendors. The employee may be required to work rotating schedule with nights, weekends, holidays, emergency staffing, and extra times as necessary.
