* Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties including filling new outpatient prescriptions, refilling prescriptions, and entering orders into database.* Perform information consultation duties including supporting new and refill prescriptions, supporting patient requests, supporting physician´s requests, monitoring for drug interactions, and reporting adverse drug reactions. * The hours are Mon-Fri 8 or 10 hr shifts.* Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program accredited by the ASHP or Certification by the PTCB or successful completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program (i.e. technical, hospital, or retail based program).* Must have at least one year of full time experience within the past three years. * Must have current BLS certification.* A current unrestricted license from any one of the 50 U.S. States, the District of Columbia, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands is acceptable.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS This technician will be working primarily in the IV room compounding extemporaneous IVs. This will include the iniation of compounded syringes for insulin that will be patient specific.California licensed pharmacy technician with hospital experience preferred. Graduate of an accredited vocational school of pharmacy technician. Current California Board of Pharmacy Technician License. Must Pass technician exam with 85%. SEIU Union Position

The Medication Intake Coordinator functions in a key position to assist the provider in collecting and compiling a current and complete patient medication list. Establishes and maintains a highly positive relationship with co-workers, patients, families and the public. Required: - High school graduate or G.E.D. - Graduation from accredited pharmacy technician training program, or equivalent training. - Two years of work experience with direct customer service as a primary responsibility. Preferred: - Pharmacy experience. Experience providing customer service over the phone
