Position Summary: Responsible for the administration, coordination and supervision of research pharmaceutical services at GUH. Coordinates all aspects of pharmaceutical needs for patients participating in investigational protocols and receiving chemotherapeutic and non-chemotherapeutic agents including but not limited to: implementation and distribution of medication order and investigational drugs, devices, and biologics order; provide assurance of appropriate dose, route, frequency and duration of therapy; review patient medication profiles for drug-drug interactions, duplication of therapy, drug allergy interactions and appropriate regimens; coordinate patients pharmaceutical needs with physicians and nurses. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetowns philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.Required Education/Training: Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. degree, Masters or Pharm. D. degree. Current DC license as a Pharmacist or eligible for licensure by examination or reciprocity.Required Experience: Minimum of two to four years as a research/investigational drug services pharmacist. Some supervisory experience is preferred. Extensive knowledge of the theory and practice of research pharmacy service, good written and verbal communication skills.
