This position assures that the medication orders are consistent with current medical practice, F.D.A. and drug manufacture recommendations, current literature and/or other information sources. Qualifications & Requirements: Graduate of an acceptable school of pharmacy with a emphasis on health-systems pharmacy. One year internship in institutional pharmacy or two years work experience in the health-systems setting. Pharm. D. Preferred. One year internship/externship or two years work experience in health-systems pharmacy. Valid California Pharmacy License. A basic understanding of personal computers, preferably Windows/DOS based. A basic understanding of how computer systems work and how they interface with each other (IE, Pyxis, Worx) in the health care industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Valid California Drivers Licence and acceptable insurance status. Two years work experience in health-systems pharmacy or educational equivalent.
