Must be able to function in an appropriate staff capacity, as scheduling and patient need demands.*Supervises the performance improvement activities of the department*Maintains a safe department work environment.*Carries out all department specific responsibilities such as supervising the staff pharmacists, technicians, policies and procedures, meetings, scheduling, and reports.*Responsible for the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee or other committees assigned.*Supports the improvement and accomplishment of organizational-wide objectives through interdepartmental teamwork and planning.*Stays current with Joint Commission, state and other regulatory standards and leads efforts to maintain compliance.*Attend Code of Conduct training course annually*Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to HCAs Code of Conduct*Demonstrates conduct that is reflective of THRHs commitment to HCAs Code of Conduct*Understands and satisfies the needs of the patient population appropriate to the age of the patient served (adults, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and parents of neonates) *Adheres to the Standards of Behavior for Terre Haute Regional Hospital as per the Customer Relations PolicyEssential educational/licensure, skills and experience:*Bachelors degree in related field from an accredited college or university *Knowledge of professional principles and practices and verbal interpersonal and quantitative skills. *Recent experience with implementation of Joint Commission, CMS and other related standards *Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.*Registered Pharmacist in good standing per Indiana *Board of Pharmacy regulations *Computer literacy & familiarity with nearly all Microsoft Office products*Understands and satisfies the needs of the patient population appropriate to the age of the patient served (adults, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and parents of neonates)Certification: BLS and Pharmacy License must be maintained throughout employment with Terre Haute Regional HospitalValued but not required educational/licensure, skills and experience:Strong problem solving skills. 3-5 years progressive management experienceDoctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or graduate degreeAbove average communication skills in all formsVast experience in Clinical PharmacyPrior leadership in Hospital PharmacyPhysical demands and the work environment: Physical demands: This position will require you to frequently lift equipment that weighs 10 lbs. or less.
