The Disaster Preparedness Coordinator procures, allocates, and maintains disaster equipment and supplies to meet HRSA and UASI federal grant requirements and surge capacity needs required to deliver quality patient care. The Disaster Preparedness Coordinator develops and monitors operational policies and procedures to ensure disaster preparedness and compliance. The Disaster Preparedness Coordinator conducts and/or ensures the rotation and documentation of pharmaceuticals, maintaining current expirations of pharmaceutical cache to comply with policy and procedures. The Disaster Preparedness Coordinator acquires and demonstrates current knowledge of disaster preparedness practices, policy and procedures, and provides assistance with ongoing staff training to ensure compliance with disaster preparedness requirements.Requirements: Registration by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy or enrollment in a board certified training program with registry within six months of employment and receive certification within nine months.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma-required/ Bachelors is preferred.
