We are seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join the clinical content team to support the medication use process within clinical applications including physician order entry, electronic prescribing and advanced dosing.
The Pharmacist Content Analyst plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of clinical/ healthcare business problems to be solved with clients via automated systems and/or business processes. Individual is responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating programs, applications software, and/or services for clients. May recommend changes in software development, business processes, maintenance, and/or system standards. Partners with clients and/or business users to identify, evaluate, and develop products, procedures and/or systems which are cost effective and meet business needs.* 8+ years experience in clinical/healthcare field, computer applications, designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technology. * Significant experience in business analysis and definition and deployment of business requirements to information systems. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS* Must have recent inpatient pharmacy experience. * Must have working knowledge of drug formularies and coding. * Must have ability to support complex medication ordering practices such as chemotherapy. * Must have familiarity with pharmacy standards of practice as well as clinical information systems. * Requires the ability to work with multi-disciplinary team to define and develop content to support the provisioning of care across disciplines to meet regulatory and standard requirements. * Knowledge with drug databases and coding (FDB, Micromedix or Medspan) and RxNorm preferred.EDUCATION* 4 year degree in healthcare related field preferred. * Informatics degree a plus. * Registered Pharmacist required (RPh).
