Rhode Island Teaching Hospital seeking a Director of Pharmacy
The Director of the Pharmacy maintains 24-hour accountability for the delivery of quality cost effective pharmaceutical care in compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements. This Director will be responsible for establishing standards of care and practice to provide positive outcomes and integrate the department with the hospital processes and systems. Specific components of the role include: Operations, Resources Management, Professional Development, Strategic Planning, communication and collaboration.EDUCATION: BS in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy and MS in Pharmacy or related field required. Pharm.D. preferredLICENSE: Current RI Pharmacy License / or obtainable Required.EXPERIENCE: Prior management experience required. Demonstrated clinical competence with minimum three years relevant experience required.Management skills in planning, organizing, and developing group cohesiveness required.Memorial Hospital has opportunities that no other hospital can offer.
