This Regional Medical Director opportunity is a result of our recent contract award for provision of health services to the Tennessee Department of Corrections. He/she will directly supervise the following staff members: Chief Operating Officer; Chief Scientific Officer; Executive Director of the Board of Certification; Vice Presidents of Continuing Professional Development, Public Policy, and Membership & Communications; and Director of Human Resources & Governance. COMPANY BACKGROUND The mission of the American Society for Clinical Pathology is to provide excellence in education, certification, and advocacy on behalf of patients, pathologists, and laboratory professionals. ASCP is unique among pathology organizations in that its inclusive membership unites pathologists and laboratory professionals to advance the profession. Over the years, ASCPs education programs and the ASCP Board of Certification (formerly known as Board of Registry) programs have provided the foundation for excellence in the profession. In addition, the society´s foresight and influence in creating the American Board of Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, and the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences established the structure to ensure the long-term strength and viability of pathology and laboratory medicine. ASCPs membership comprises 130,000 pathologists, doctoral-level laboratory scientists, and a host of laboratory professionals, including pathologists assistants, medical technologists, cytotechnologists, histotechnologists, histologic technicians, phlebotomists, medical laboratory technicians, and numerous laboratory specialists. ASCP has an operating budget of approximately $27 million. POSITION SUMMARY The Executive Vice President is the Chief Executive Officer of the Society, and shall direct the day-to-day conduct of the business of the Society. The incumbent, employed by written contract, shall report to and be directly responsible to the Board of Directors; have authority to appoint and discharge staff of the Society; and fulfill other duties that may be assigned by the Board of Directors. He/she will help the Board define, establish, and project an organization consistent with ASCPs culture, mission and vision; represents the organization as appropriate in its relationships with its employees, its members, professional societies, government agencies, funding groups and the public at large. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS Masters or doctoral level degree(s) with a preference toward pathology, laboratory medicine or related medical discipline. Executive-level administrative management experience within a Medical Association is preferred; however, serious consideration will be given to healthcare executives including physician leaders. Must have experience leading diverse professional groups/members. Knowledgeable about healthcare and issues in the field of Pathology. In addition, should be knowledgeable about current issues surrounding science and technology in general. An understanding of research methods and data collection is a plus. Experience or knowledge of international health issues and policies, specifically with respect to grant funding. Significant staff management experience which includes collaboration, delegation, and mentoring. Demonstrated ability to manage an evolving organization. Extensive communications experience with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Experience reporting to or collaborating closely with a Board and cultivating strong working relationships with the Board members. Strong financial skills and experience in budget management.

The Medical Director of Utilization Management is responsible for providing physician support for all of the daily utilization of Bravo Health.

POSITION SUMMARY: This role collaborates with network and hospital based physicians, hospital administrators, and other community providers to establish and implement clinical programs that support the objectives of Bravo Health.The Medical Director of Utilization Management will provide daily utilization oversight and external communication with network physicians and hospitals.
