St. Christophers Hospital for Children and the Department of Pediatrics of Drexel University College of Medicine is seeking applicants for the position of Director, Division of Adolescent Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. Applicants should be board-certified or board-allowable in Adolescent Medicine and experienced as an Adolescent Physician. The Directors responsibilities will include the development of an expanding adolescent medicine program, community outreach, creatively designing new services and directing a multidisciplinary team of care providers. Outpatient clinical services provided by the Division of Adolescent Medicine include a mix of primary care, family planning services and subspecialty care and consultations. Members of the division are also responsible for teaching pediatric residents and medical students. There is also an opportunity to pursue research interests, in particular as they relate to our multicultural community and clinical setting. Candidates must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience as an Adolescent Medicine Physician with a track record of accomplishment in the areas mentioned above. Connecticut Childrens Medical Center seeks a full-time Child Abuse Pediatrician to join the staff of Hartford Regional Child Abuse Services. Our staff performs inpatient and outpatient consultations for suspected child abuse and neglect at Connecticut Childrens Medical Center, a 147-bed free standing Childrens Hospital which is part of a Level 1 Trauma Center and has an 18-bed PICU. We also evaluate children at the Aetna Foundation Childrens Center, a fully accredited Childrens Advocacy Center at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Current program staff includes 1.9 FTE medical providers (two MDs and one APRN), 2.5 FTE diagnostic interviewers, 3.5 FTE family advocates, 2.5 FTE mental health clinicians, 0.5 FTE outreach/education coordinator, and 3.5 FTE support/administrative staff.This position offers excellent opportunities for clinical practice, teaching, research, and advocacy. Connecticut Childrens has active trauma and injury prevention programs, and we participate with a strong network of community multidisciplinary teams in our region.
