Experience working for an organization that provides services and products to physicians such as disease/case management companies, managed care organizations, or pharmaceutical companies is strongly preferred. East Bay Physicians Medical Group (EBPMG) is a multi-specialty medical group of over 125 physicians affiliated with Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation (SEBMF). EBPMG and SEBMF provide high quality, high value care as measured by patient satisfaction, provider satisfaction, and financial performance. This position reports to the group Medical Director and is responsible for providing oversight of the Hospitalist Divisions clinical and financial programs. The candidate will be responsible for hiring and training, as well as ensuring appropriate staffing for our 4-hospital program. The candidate will participate in hospital and medical group committees and will work with the SEBMF management, the President and Medical Director of EBPMG, and other colleagues within EBPMG to manage and optimize the delivery of quality care. In addition, this position will be responsible for overseeing standard performance reviews within the department at all levels. This position will provide clinical services as a Hospitalist as needed in times of staffing shortages. Qualified candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine; minimum of 5 years as a practicing hospitalist; minimum of 2 years experience in administrative management with business training; and leadership experience.
