Provides consultation in palliative care, symptom and supportive care to meet the needs of the patient as requested by the referring physician. Facilitates clarification of patient and family goals of care and the access to appropriate support models of care in hospice, rehabilitation´s, and on-going aggressive treatment. Adheres to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff and the organization and participates on-call rotation as needed. Supervises palliative care nurse practitioners and physician assistants.QUALIFICATIONS: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with two years experience, licensed to practice medicine in the state.
