The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Department of Medicine seeks candidates for clinical faculty positions in the Division of Rheumatology.He/she will provide rheumatology services at the UT-Physicians outpatient clinics, the Harris County Hospital District, and inpatient consultation at the Memorial Hermann and LBJ Hospitals. This individual will join the 9 other faculty members in the Division whose focus excellence in clinical are and clinical/translational research in spondyloarthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and systemic sclerosis. Primary responsibilities are those of a clinician-educator. These include direct patient care (outpatient clinic [50-60%] and inpatient consults [20-30%]) and teaching of medical students, residents and fellows [10-20%]. Opportunities also exist for participation in clinical research projects, including longitudinal outcome studies and clinical trials. Appointments are tenure accruing or non-tenure accruing Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates must be MD, BC/BE in Rheumatology, and eligible for a Texas Medical License.
