Academic position in Memphis for a Board Eligible/Certified Perinatologist. Great opportunity for growth and responsibility for the successful candidate. The primary responsibility will be to function as a Perinatologist on the Maternal-Fetal Medicine service involved in inpatient and outpatient care, teaching and research. Rotate among the different facilities of the MFM: high risk clinic, labor and delivery, and prenatal diagnosis. In addition, the Perinatologist will have the opportunity to rotate at the Fetal Treatment Center located at Le Bonheur Childrens Medical Center. This is a state-of-the-art center with a multidisciplinary approach to prenatal diagnosis and in-utero intervention, such as blood transfusion, shunt placements, and laser procedures for twin-twin transfusion syndrome. The Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics at Emory University is currently recruiting for two Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists. Both new graduates and experienced practitioners are encouraged to apply for this open rank faculty position. These positions are based primarily at Emory Crawford Long Hospital, a 511 bed institution that performs over 4000 deliveries per year with a Level III NICU. Responsibilities for this position will include teaching fellows, residents and medical students, providing clinical leadership to the Women’s Health Service Line at Emory Crawford Long Hospital and providing clinical care in the Emory Regional Perinatal Center. Clinical and scientific research opportunities are also available. All major subspecialties are represented in the Department including General Ob/Gyn, General Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Gynecologic Surgery and Gynecologic Oncology and Family Planning.This is an excellent opportunity for a recently trained physician who is seeking a position that combines both academic and clinical care.
