Grant Cooper & Associates is privileged to have the opportunity to assist the University of Arizona School of Medicine Search Committee in identifying and recruiting a renowned academic physician to lead their Department of Radiology.
Building on existing excellence the Chair will be expected to lead the Department in new, ground-breaking directions. The Department of Radiology is currently comprised of 35 FTE radiologists 25 researchers, 30 residents and fellows in Neuroimaging, Interventional Radiology, Musculoskeletal and Mammography. A major goal is to position the Department for significant growth as it expands to meet the academic and clinical service demands throughout the State of Arizona.The Chair of the Department of Radiology will work collaboratively with the Dean of the College of Medicine and other leaders of the Arizona Health Sciences Center and the University of Arizona to build on excellence in existing teaching, interdisciplinary research, and clinical programs. In addition the Chair will clearly and effectively articulate the goals, direction, mission, critical issues, and values of the college of medicine to the faculty and employees who work within the DOR and its related areas.QualificationsM.D. or M.D./Ph.D.Eligibility for medical licensure in Arizona.Demonstrated leadership experience including administrative experience and skills.Qualifications to fulfill the University of Arizona criteria for a tenured senior level faculty appointment.A distinguished record as an academician, clinician and educator.Board certified in a Radiology practice discipline.Proven background in faculty recruitment, mentoring, and development.
