Levison Search Associates has been retained to assist with the recruitment of a Vascular or General Surgeon for a flourishing Dialysis Access Center in Californias San Joaquin Valley, located 1/2 way between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The community is home to strong neighborhoods, good schools, beautiful parks and vibrant cultural diversity.Join a highly successful and very busy practice specializing exclusively in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis access. The practice has its own Dialysis Access Center, owned and operated by surgeons, with C-arm, ultrasound units and Angiojet. Due to tremendous growth in the area of dialysis access and a passion to further the expansion of this healthcare niche, the group is seeking a positive-minded surgeon to join the practice which includes one full-time and two part-time physicians and two Physician Assistants. TRAINING AND MENTORING WILL BE PROVIDED TO SURGEONS WITH VASCULAR SURGERY SKILLS AND A STRONG INTEREST IN DIALYSIS ACCESS PROCEDURES.Time is split between open creation of arteriovenous fistulas and grafts and percutaneous procedures. Basic laparoscopic skills are required for laparoscopic peritoneal dialysis catheters. This heavy endovascular practice involves frequent fistulograms, thrombectomies, balloon angioplasty and stenting with some hemodialysis catheter placement. The new physician will have the choice of working part-time or full-time with an opportunity for partnership in this well established practice after two years. A competitive salary, plus productivity, will be guaranteed the first year. The ideal candidate will be positive-minded with a passion for dialysis access, possess warm and dynamic interpersonal skills, be licensed or willing to become licensed in Calfornia, be Board Certified or willing to become Board Certified in General or Vascular Surgery, have experience in Endovascular Surgery, have an interest in research, and desire to live and work in a vibrant Central California location.The community boasts a large metropolitan city, with a diverse cultural mix of more than 70 different nationalities, surrounded by fertile agricultural land.
