Gratiot Medical Center is a 142-bed acute care hospital serving Gratiot County. The hospital also offers full capabilities in CT, ultrasound, cardiac catheterization/ angioplasty, nuclear medicine, and arteriography. Gratiot Medical Center is the proud recipient of the 2006 Solucient 100 Top Hospitals, this honor is a National Benchmarks for Success Award. The Emergency Department has recently been expanded and is a state-of-the-art facility with experienced nursing staff that now accommodates more beds (20) and has two dedicated trauma rooms. The ED sees approximately 18,000 visits annually and patient volume continues to increase. Twenty-four hour laboratory and x-ray are available. Specialty support is available from OB/GYN, pediatrics, and surgery. More serious cases are transferred to Lansing or Midland. The ED has 24 hours of physician coverage daily, with 12-hour shifts. There is an additional 12 hours of midlevel coverage daily.EPMG is a full service medical group owned and managed by physicians.
