As Medical Director, Community Care Delivery you will guide the growth and expansion of three community-based, adult-only, primary care clinics: Silver Spring Clinic, Gaithersburg Clinic (opened March 2009), and Wheaton Clinic due to open in June 2011. Holy Cross Hospital, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is seeking an experienced, physician leader who is board-certified in family medicine or internal medicine. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of leadership experience is required for this role. In this salaried position, you will manage the upstart of a new clinic, work in one of the clinics, and oversee the operations of the clinics. You will also interface with other members of senior management and medical staff to build and execute clinic growth strategies, establish and staff outpatient delivery systems, develop comprehensive community health programs, and create solutions which enhance accessibility of healthcare for the uninsured, immigrant residents living in the community. Academic appointments are available, and an interest in teaching interns, residents and nursing students is desired. Work experience in an academic or community / public health setting would be helpful. Comfort in caring for a culturally diverse population is essential as this community has many transitional immigrant households. Bilingual skills are a plus. Finally, graduate-level education and a technical background or interest in leveraging hospital technology to improve healthcare are all highly desired, but not required.
